Bonjour, Bella!

With June, the year is officially almost half-over. We can look at it in three ways: we’re regretful that we haven’t even accomplished half of the must-dos we set out to achieve at the start of the year; we’re so glad that 2009 is almost over (that means there is light at the end of the tunnel, hurrah!); or we’re thankful there are still seven months to go (including June) for you to still do everything on your “to-do list in 2009” and more.

The choice is up to you.

June can sometimes induce the blahs, so to give you a boost, we listed down what books we think deserve shelf space in Day Off. Feel free to check them out as soon as your schedule clears up and you think you’re ready for some R&R. And speaking of unwinding from work, don’t you agree when we say that the world seems to be teeming with nega people? They are unknowing culprits to your inner optimist, so we’ve weeded out people you should steer clear of in the office (see our list and suggestions on how to deal with them in Casting Call). 

And while we on the subject of sneaky culprits, our Makeup Room this month jots down habits we have that may be harmful to our skin. Such that even if we are conscious of taking utmost care of our skin (vanity rules!), there are certain “things” we do that don’t do anything beneficial to our skin. Not to worry: since we’re playing beauty police, you’ll be more aware not to continue that habit further! 

Finally, our Runway Report this month features bulge- and flaw-proof fashion—we’ve got tips and tricks on how to flaunt your best assets and downplay (or even downright hide) your not-worth-bragging-about parts.
